This project was a rehabilitation of the Caveman Bridge. The bridge was built in 1931 and was designed Conde McCullough. As part of the rehabilitation, a PPC overlay was placed to preserve the structure for years to come. https://www.oregon.gov/odot/projects/pages/project-details.aspx?project=18569

The deck rehabilitation of the historic San Mateo-Hayward Bridge high rise section is complete after a full closure over the Memorial Day holiday weekend. They clearly made the point that funding must be secured to repair and rebuild our nation’s bridges.
