Project Details
The Benicia-Martinez Bridge was the first large-scale project to receive a PPC overlay in 1991. In 2009, after a new span was built to carry northbound traffic, the existing bridge was rehabilitated and reconfigured to accommodate only southbound traffic. As part of the scope of work, the overlay was removed and replaced with a new PPC overlay.
